New Irrigation Requirements
Effective January 1, 2009, the City of The Colony adopted the landscape irrigation program required by HB 1656. This program requires the following:
Irrigation plan and drawing showing the actual installation is required at time of application.
As of January 1, 2010, a licensed irrigator or irrigation technician must be on-site during installation.
Irrigation systems should not be designed to spray water on hard surfaces.
Backflow devices must be approved by a laboratory.
